Do You Know How Incredibly Fortunate I Am?

I've got a secret. No one has told me to keep it a secret, but I've been keeping it a secret because I can't seem to reveal it without sounding like I'm bragging. Not just bragging a little, but bragging ferociously!

I received a call about a week ago. Seems that some representatives from Google will be in town to talk to members of the media about their AdSense advertising program, and they would like for me to join them. The woman I've been corresponding with from Google said that they would like for me to come along because SearchWarp is the picture of success.'

Huh?!? Yeah, I consider SearchWarp a success, but in my own mind. It pays the bills and let's me work from anywhere I want, anytime I want, but this is more than that. What I consider success isn't what most people consider success.

This event is supposed to take place Thursday. I won't lie, I've been preparing every way I know how for this. I've printed the story of SearchWarp and how the Google AdSense program works well for us on little sheets of paper, so I can hand it out to members of the press. I've even had a dress shirt embroidered with the SearchWarp logo, trying to make sure the name will stick in the minds of the reporters. This afternoon I was driving around repeating, "our goal is to become the platform of choice for prolific writers World-wide" so that when I'm asked, I can say it without thinking. I've also been updating SearchWarp with little things to try to make it appear more professional for the reporters who view the site after they hear my story.

As of this afternoon, I still have a lot to do. Before I started back to work after lunch, I made my rounds to make sure everything was running smoothly. I came across a question answered by @Member181546, for whom I have a great deal of respect. The question was answered casually as if she was sitting across the table from me. Except Hilda is in Malaysia. I'm sorry for being impressed by little things. I grew up in a small town where it was long-distance to call the next small town. Now I'm conversing with Hilda. My mind still gets blown away by this kind of thing sometimes.

Then I see an answer from @Member202141, a woman that I view like my dear grandmother, though I know she is younger than my mother. She's from Colorado and I guess she just reminds me of my grandmother when I was young. She's been posting things on SearchWarp that she's learned and had written down since the early 1970's. Wow!

@pagebreak

Throughout my day I've conversed with @Member94099, an 80 year old gentleman as sharp as a tack, from Alabama. I've promised Joel I'd buy him coffee the next time I pass his place driving to see family in Pennsylvania. And @Member166177 who is living in the Florida Keys. I've long had the perception that Greg is my lost older brother, separated at birth. (He may be younger than me, I don't know!) He and I have arrived at a lot of the same conclusions in life, though he is certainly my intellectual superior.

Then there's @Member52009 who moved to Kentucky from Liberia, West Africa. The man has incredible insight into so many things, yet he calls me his friend!

The bodacious Buddhist, @Member71632, is so humble he refuses to sign his name with capital letters. Sorry if I'm telling your secrets here, e. He also will never allow one of his articles to appear on the home page of SearchWarp without sending us a thank-you note. My guess is that this is some kind of Karma thing. Years ago I offered him money to write for SearchWarp and he wouldn't accept it. Said something to the effect of it was his privilege to be published on SearchWarp and he couldn't accept money for promoting truth. Oh how I wish I could be more like e.

There's @Member16942, who reminds me of my Aunt Vonda because she can't stop talking about private body parts, only she lives in the UK. Sometimes I think SearchWarp is Kacy's secret obsession and no one in her family knows that she is by far the most popular writer on SearchWarp, several times more popular than the second most popular writer. I wonder if she ever gets the urge to say to the person next to her in a low, gravely voice, "I'm Batman." I know I would if I was her! Kacy, you are Batman.

I especially appreciate @Member13234. He's one of the founding writers on SearchWarp and is probably the most sane one of us all. I think he was the first person to help us realize that SearchWarp could be used to help people, from of his early writing. I still find it hard not to refer to him as Mr. Tanguay despite his insistence that I call him David.

@Member182914 is everyone's favorite alien abductee. He can also be one of the funniest people on SearchWarp. When he sent me his picture to crop and use for his account I warned him that with him looking to the side it made him appear a little crazy. He didn't care, and you know what? I admire him for that!

There are also the members of SearchWarp who have cut back on their activity because of time constraints. Like @Member115111 and @Member18013 and @Member49813 and @Member76711 and @Member129913 and @Member70507 and @Member24343 and @Member142909 and @Member180983. I could go on and on and I know there are others who deserve to be mentioned that I'm leaving out. Sorry!

I can't leave out @Member81073, though, the only SearchWarp member whom I've had the privilege to meet with face-to-face (so far.) Sue and so many other writers have given so much to others through their writing. We regularly receive notes from people who say that their lives have been changed for the better because of something they've read on SearchWarp, and often it's from something Sue wrote. What an honor! She once got an email for me confused with one she was going to send to her aunt and she signed it, "I love you!" I like to raz her about that. I love you too, Sue!

My life is incredibly rich because of the relationships I have as a result of SearchWarp. To be recognized as a success in any other way is just icing on the cake.

I just want to say thank-you!

The encouragement I have received from my SearchWarp friends was a major factor in my decision to strike out on my own, which gives you and Jean a lot of credit as well.

Thank you for all you do and have done.

Congratulations and kudos to you Bruce and Jean and to the Searchwarp staff.

You have been always there for us and I am proud to be a member of the Searchwarp Community. You have a good heart and you always cared. I still remember when you asked us, "What can Searchwarp do to help our unemployed members?", it means a lot to me and I will not forget that. You are both hard working and creative, we are all happy for the success you have achieved.

God bless and many more blessings.

Well, it was very exciting for me... it went as good as I could have hoped, but there's not much more to say until the first story appears in the newspaper somewhere. I'll keep you posted!

Greetings from Malaysia to Searchwarp Team

Congratulations on your Success!

Hi Bruce,

Wow! What an honour. May Google continue to show Love to SW (AdSense) for your hard work in the long run.
We all love to ramble about this and that some of the time and some of the time we try to write some articles.Sometimes I also think we might be making too much noise at SW. Please bear with us!
It's an honour my name to be mentioned which I didn't think I deserve so yet, I'm happy !
Thank you! .................Hilda
