I'm happy to announce the return of audio articles to SearchWarp. This was a feature that we had before, except before we tried to make it so that writers could record directly onto SearchWarp. This proved too unreliable and I pulled the plug on it after a few weeks.
The new system requires that writers record their article narration onto their own computers and then upload the narration to SearchWarp. To do this yourself, you will need to have recording software installed on you computer. Audacity makes the perfect software for this type of thing, and it's free! Check it out here. There is a file size limit of 10 megabytes, but that should allow for even the longest articles. My recommendation is to record in 44.1 khz 128kbs mode (you'll see this option in almost any audio recording software these days.)
I was surprised how popular this feature was when we tried it before. It's a little complicated, but if enough people use this feature there are lots of things that can be done with the narrations.
Have fun with this, and let me know if you have any questions.

I've been away from SearchWarp for a bit and imagine my surprise when I returned to my favourite writers on audio!!! This is too cool! Like I commented to someone, it's like my Imaginary Friends have suddenly come to life! I am enjoying the audio versions, but am absolutely too shy to ever do one. Besides, the Canadian accent is nothing compared to Jennifer Stewart's, eh?
Thanks Bruce! Yet again, another great tool for us Warpers. Oh, and nice voice (smile)
Bruce! CONGRATS...another fab feature...I would love to listen to some of the voices of our great writers...You became more close and near when I heard your voice...thanks buddy...
Dear Bruce,Yaaaayyyy!!! (sic)Thank you, this will be awesome practise for my Slam poetry!Best regards,Kian
Hi Bruce.
Hah! Tricky you! What a way to get me to leave a comment. :)
I don't know that I will ever try to read one of my articles out loud. Just too darn shy. But Jennifer Stewart did a great job of describing the process.
Hope this helps you to find and fix the glitch in the new comment process.
Many hugs and thanks for all that you do for us!DianneP.S. My name was supposed to be on the line below "many hugs." This time it did a good job of separating the paragraphs. But I don't understand why it put my name right behind the exclamation point when I had put it on a second line. I've tried double spacing down and it still puts my name where it just did. DSLHey, it worked didn't it?!?
Thanks!
I love this...connecting with people's voices is so very powerful. Can't wait it give it a try myself!
